The inspection followed the death of a two-year-old girl and hospitalisation of three inmates of the juvenile home recently.
The minister detected several discrepancies in records of the juvenile home, officials said.
Shocked at the dismal condition of the juvenile home and poor facilities provided to its inmates, Khan ordered the suspension of the Superintendent, they said.
At present, 62 children -- 35 boys and 27 girls -- are lodged in the juvenile home.
