"Mahendra Yadav (40) of Sardar Babupur village, who was suffering from depression, took his sons, Hans (4) and Aditya, (2) to the fields and then reportedly slit their necks with the spade," SSP Azamgarh Ajay Kumar Sahni told reporters today.
The accused has been arrested, the spade used in the crime recovered while the bodies of the two victims have been sent for post-mortem, Sahni said.
