Babasaheb Ambedkar's 123rd birth anniversary observed by ONGC

Rich tributes paid to Dr B R Ambedkar on his 123rd birth anniversary in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
District collector Neetu Prasad garlanded the Ambedkar statue at Kakinada and other voluntary organisations organised programmes, recalling the service rendered by him to the nation.
Led by P K Rao, ONGC Rajahmundry Asset Group General Manager paid floral tributes to Babasaheb's statue at ONGC''s base complex.
Rao explained how Dr Ambedkar not only envisioned an inclusive society, but also strived for emancipation of the vulnerable population, not only in letter, but also in spirit.
Drafting one of the most exhaustive constitutions in the world, speaks volumes about his long term vision of creating a nation provides space for the dignified existence of every human being in the country, he said.
The manifestation of his ideals, spirit and ethos has materialised today through resolute efforts of ONGC's corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, he said.
As part of the programme, the All India Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Employees' Welfare Association (AISCSTEWA) distributed driving licenses to unemployed youth from surrounding districts, who were successfully trained under free driving classes organised by the Association.
Ambedkar's birth anniversary was also celebrated at Kothapeta, Kakinada, Rajahmundry and other parts of the district.
