Sangam Kumari who hails from Chatra district of Jharkhand used to vomit regularly after which her parents brought her to Burdwan district.
Dr Naren Mukherjee of Burdwan Medical College, who operated upon the girl, said in the rare medical condition known as foetus in-fatu, the child is born with a foetus.
After a one-hour-long operation, the foetus was removed and the child is now healthy, the doctor said.
