According to a complaint given by the baby's father, his wife, who delivered a baby girl on February 4, was advised to undergo family planning operation at the hospital.
She had handed over her baby to a woman at the hospital ward for signing the papers but was shocked to find her and the infant missing.
Hospital authorities had strengthened security and surveillance to prevent such incidents but there was no CCTV facility at the particular spot and hence they could not identify who had taken the baby away, police said.
