The owner of a popular restaurant at the Wagah-Attari border near here today asked the Punjab Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal to set up an Indo-Pak entertainment culture hub, which would strengthen people to people contacts on both sides.
"I would urge you ( Sukhbir Badal) to consider taking up with the Punjab provincial government in Pakistan the possibility of establishing a joint entertainment and culture hub on both sides of the border," director, Sarhad restaurant, Amanbir Singh Jaspal said in a letter addressed to Badal.
"An entertainment hub on both sides of the border can generate synergies and facilitate cross border transfer of talent to the mutual benefit of Punjabi film industry on both sides," Jaspal wrote in the letter.
This move can change the entertainment paradigm in the subcontinent, Jaspal added.
