A spokesperson for the Chief Minister's Office said Badal (88) has been advised rest and to avoid travelling by doctors who examined him in the morning. No details of the nature of his illness were, however, available.
The chief minister is scheduled to visit the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) tomorrow morning for a medical checkup and consultation.
Badal was scheduled to visit Jalandhar today to attend the 'Rasam Kriya' of slain RSS leader Brigadier (retd) Jagdish Gagneja but had to cancel it at the last moment, said the spokesperson.
