Assailing the party for deceiving weaker and downtrodden sections of the state, Badal said despite being in power for most of the six decades after independence, people were striving for the basic amenities.
Badal said slogans like 'Garibi Hatao' by Congress leaders had proved to be hollow as a "sizeable chunk of country's population was finding tough to manage two square meals a day".
Exhorting people to rout Congress from power at the Centre, the Chief Minister said, "It is the only solution to solve long-pending problems faced by the country."
He said the Congress would be trounced badly in these states and asked the people to defeat Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
