Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today took potshots at his cabinet colleague Bikram Majithia, saying the "maximum benefit of power" in government was provided to his family.
Bikram Majithia is the younger brother of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal's wife, Harsimrat Kaur, who is an MP and a minister at the Centre.
Pointing towards Majithia's father Satyajit Singh Majithia at a function here, Badal said, "Mahithia Sahib I have given you maximum as your son Bikram Majithia is a cabinet Minister in the Punjab Government, your son-in-law Sukhbir Singh Badal is Deputy CM in the Punjab Government and your daughter Harsimrat Kaur Badal is minister in the Centre".
Badal made the comments while addressing a gathering during the 108th annual Convocation of the historic Khalsa College.
The Chief minister's barbs come in the light of reported unease in some quarters in the party over the Sukhbir-Majithia duo tightening its grip on Akali Dal.
This is not the first time that Badal has taken a dig at Bikram Majithia.

"We gave them (Majithia) the platter, now they want to take control (of the chair)," he had said.
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, BJP Punjab Chief Kamal Sharma, State cabinet Minister Bikram Majitha were among those present at the function.
