Badal to take up problems faced by Sikhs in J-K with Omar

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that he will take up issues faced by the Sikh community in Jammu and Kashmir with his counterpart Omar Abdullah.
Badal has assured people of Punjab that he would meet Omar and seek expeditious redressal of the issues, an official spokesman said.
He instructed state officers to prepare a detailed note on the problems faced by Punjabis in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee member and in-charge of Sikh Mission in Jammu and Kashmir, Swaran Singh Khalsa, apprised the Chief Minister about some long pending issued with the government there.
During the function, Badal interacted with Sikh scholars to discuss ways to propagate messages of Sikh Gurus in the context of challenges faced by the modern society.
The CM released a book named "Historical Sikh Shrines of Jammu and Kashmir" by Sikh historian Commodore Dalbir Singh Sodhi which has visuals of places visited by Guru Nanak Dev, Guru Hargobind Sahib and Guru Har Rai.
