"Passing the order on an application moved by CBI, Additional District Judge S N Tripathi said the court gives permission for lie detection/polygraphy, narco-analysis, brain mapping and other scientific tests," assistant district government counsel Gyan Swaroop Gupta said.
The court in its order said though only Central Forensic Science Laboratory at New Delhi has been mentioned in the application for conducting tests, if competent equipment or experts were unavailable there, it could be conducted at any other competent agency which is either under the Centre or the state government.
The court told the accused that CBI wanted to conduct scientific tests on them and asked whether they were ready for that or not. On this, the accused said they were "innocent" and ready for all the tests.
The court asked CBI as to how much time it would take to conduct all the tests and also inquired about its side effects. It also took detailed information about all the tests from the CBI.
