Bagasse gutted in sugar factory fire

A huge quantity of bagasse was gutted in a major fire that broke out in a sugar factory in Krishna district today.
However, there was no reports of injuries.
The mishap occurred on the premises of Delta Sugar Factory near Hanuman Junction in evening, police said.
"A total of 31,000 tonne of sugarcane waste was gutted in the blaze," said police sub-inspector Murali Krishna.
According to the Factory, short circuit led to the mishap.
Fire tenders from Gudivada, Gannavaram, Hanuman Junction and Eluru put out the flames after three hours.
