Dismisssing the application of Joppan, arrested on June 28 last, Justice Satish Chandran said when investigation of the crime was in progress, the petitioner was not entitled to bail.
The Court accepted the submission of the Advocate General that the peitioner, if released on bail, would tamper with evidence since he was attached to the Chief Minister and his personal assistants.
Earlier, the Chief Judicial Magistrate court at Pathanamthitta had rejected the bail plea of Joppan who was arrested for his alleged link with prime accused Saritha Nair.
