Bail pleas of four suspects in Kodanadu murder dismissed
Press Trust of India Udhagamandalam A court here today dismissed the bail petitions of four of the 10 suspects arrested in connection with the break-in and murder of a guard at Kodanadu estate of former chief minister Jayalalithaa.
The public prosecutor argued that the suspects, if released on bail, may tamper with the evidence and also there could be law and order problem.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, District judge P Vadamalai dismissed the bail petitions of Jamsher Ali, Jitin Joy, Manoj and Santhosh alias Swamy.
Police have arrested 10 persons, suspecting their involvement in the heist and murder at the bungalow on April 24.
While one suspect, Sayan is undergoing treatment in the government hospital at Coimbatore, key suspect, Kanagaraj, the former driver of Jayalalithaa, died in an accident near Salem on April 29.
