: Madras High Court today granted bail
to DMDK MLA's K Thinakaran, and C H Sekhar with regard to the incidents in the assembly on February 19.
Justice P Devadass, before whom the bail petitions of the MLA's came up, directed them to execute a personal bond of Rs 15,000 each to the satisfaction of Magistrate concerned and appear before the Police Station at 10.30 AM on Monday and Friday for a period of two weeks.
The matter relates to the incidents in the Assembly that day when an AIADMK MLA passed certain remarks against Opposition leader and DMDK founder Vijayakant to which the two MLA's protested.
The Speaker ordered eviction of DMDK MLA Mohanraj, to which other DMDK MLAs objected. When Marshals reportedly handled the eviction in a rough manner, DMDK MLA's staged a dharna in front of the House against which Police booked a case.
Apprehending arrest, the MLAs filed for bail.
In the case of another MLA V C Chandrakumar, the Public Prosecutor himself submitted that no case was there against the member.
