Shares of Bajaj Finserv today surged nearly 6 per cent after the company reported a 41 per cent jump in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June.
The stock soared 5.70 per cent to close at Rs 6,666.20 on BSE. Intra-day, it jumped 7.44 per cent to Rs 6,776.35 -- its 52-week high.
At NSE, shares of the climbed 5.76 per cent to end at Rs 6,660.10.
The company's market valuation went up by Rs 5,716.43 crore to Rs 1,06,080.43 crore.
Bajaj Finserv yesterday reported a 41 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 826 crore for the quarter ended June.
The company had made a net profit of Rs 585 crore in the corresponding April-June quarter of 2017-18.
Total income rose by 16 per cent to Rs 8,771 crore from Rs 7,536 crore in same period a year earlier, Bajaj Finserv (BFS) said in a release.
