Bajaj Healthcare lists on BSE's SME platform

Bajaj Healthcare today made a debut on the BSE's small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) platform, taking the number of listings to 137 on the segment.
These 137 companies, listed on the platform, have collectively raised Rs 1,004.05 crore. As on today, these firms have a market capitalisation of of Rs 9,237.54 crore, BSE said in a statement.
"The response since the launch of this platform by BSE Ltd has been very positive," it added.
Out of 137 firms, 18 firms have migrated to the main board platform and currently, there are 119 companies listed on the SME platform.
These firms belong to a wide range of sectors such as logistics services, media, automotive components, hospitality and infrastructure among others.
Bajaj Healthcare came out with an initial public offering of 68,99,600 equity shares to raise about Rs 31 crore. It successfully completed the public issue on May 2.

Besides, BSE has given approval to as many as 10 companies to raise funds through its SME platform, while another 13 firms have submitted their draft papers with the exchange and are awaiting its approval.
Last week, BSE MD and CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan said that exchange expects 30 IPOs on its SME platform in the next three months.
BSE had launched SME platforms in March 2012 to provide opportunity to such firms to raise capital for growth and expansion.
