Bajra, maize strengthen on stockists' buying

Prices of bajra and maize strengthened by up to Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on stockists buying following uptick in demand from consuming industries.
Traders said stockists buying driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries amid restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly attributed the rise in bajra and maize prices.
In the national capital, bajra advanced by Rs 15 to Rs 1,640-1,645. While maize edged up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,640-1,645 per quintal respectively.

Wheat MP (desi) Rs 2,300-2,850, Wheat dara (for mills) Rs 1,775-1,780, Chakki atta (delivery) Rs 1,785-1,790, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) Rs 275, Shakti Bhog (10 kg) Rs 275, Roller flour mill Rs 940-970 (50 kg), Maida Rs 1,000-1,010 (50 kg) and Sooji Rs 1,070-1,080 (50 kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) Rs 10,700, Shri Lal Mahal Rs 11,300, Super Basmati Rice Rs 9,700, Basmati common new Rs 5,400-5,600, Rice Pusa (1121) Rs 4,300-5,200, Permal raw Rs 2,000-2,050, Permal wand Rs 2,175-2,250, Sela Rs 2,850-2,900 and Rice IR-8 Rs 1,840-1,850, Bajra Rs 1,640-1,645, Jowar yellow Rs 2,000-2,075, white Rs 3,600-3,700, Maize Rs 1,640-1,645, Barley Rs 1,540-1,545.
