Bajra rises on scattered demand

Bajra prices moved up by Rs 10 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today on scattered demand from consuming industries.
However, other grains traded in a narrow range in the absence of worthwhile activity and settled around previous levels.
Traders said some demand from consuming industries helped bajra prices to went up.
In the national capital, bajra rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1,200-1,210 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Wheat MP (deshi) 2,270-2,670, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,655-1,660, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,660-1,665, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill Rs 860-870 (50 kg), Maida 920-930 (50 kg) and Sooji 1,000-1,010 (50 kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice 9,500, Basmati common new 5,600-6,200, Rice Pusa (1121) 4,800-6,000, Permal raw 1,750-1,800, Permal wand 1,875-1,900, Sela 2,450-2,500 and Rice IR-8 1,575-1,625, Bajra 1,200-1,210, Jowar yellow 1,480-1,500, white 2,500-2,600, Maize 1,425-1,430, Barley 1,620-1,630.
