Purulia SP Rupesh Kumar told PTI that the agitation went on for roughly 20 minutes.
"Around 9.30 AM, 80-100 activists of the Bajrang Dal demonstrated outside the City Life mall where the film was scheduled to be released raising 'patriotic' slogans," the SP said.
However, the film was released as scheduled, Kumar said.
In the aftermath of the deadly Uri terror attack last month, film distributors decided not to release the film "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" also starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
