It is shocking that schools continue to operate without buildings... While the state government has listed school education as its priority and made claims about improving the academic standards, Bajwa was quoted as saying in a statement.
He alleged that "the schools where children belonging to weaker sections study are being totally and wilfully neglected."
Since 2007, Badal had been trying to push the Adarash schools project under PPP model and even that has failed to garner the desired response, he said.
He said the availability of teachers in such schools was a far cry and as most of those were being managed by one or at the most two teachers.
He charged Badal with playing with the future of the state by "neglecting this one of the most important social sectors".
