Addressing a party meet during the Maghi Mela here, Bajwa said the people of Punjab had for long years tolerated corrupt practices and arrogance of the Badal family, and urged them to join the protest against the drug menace on January 16.
Bajwa, along with party general secretary Shakeel Ahmad and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, paid rich tributes to 40 "Muktas" (Sikh warriors) who sacrificed their lives for the pride of the Sikh community.
Ahmed said the Congress would win all 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state under the command of Bajwa.
Bajwa said Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had taken the people for granted and went on to ruin the state. He alleged that SAD leaders were not better than the Talibans who took the drug route to lay their control over Afghanistan.
The name of Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia had figured in the multi-crore drug racket, and now SAD leaders had started false propaganda against him (Bajwa) to divert the attention of the people, he claimed.
The state Congress chief said he was ready face a CBI probe in this connection, and dared the Chief Minister to order an inquiry into the involvement of Congress leaders in the case during its previous regime from 2002 to 2007.
