Under the agreement, both the partners will set up a global skill centre here.
The proposed skill centre, named the Global Centre of Excellence, will come up in different parts of the country, where DHC has its offices and will create a talent pool of 5,000 professionals to serve the global market over the next three years.
The timing of the alliance and announcement to open skill centres is important as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed skill development as one of the focus areas to turn the country into a manufacturing powerhouse through his 'Make in India' drive.
The Global Centre of Excellence will function as a high-end knowledge centre. It will hire CAs, management graduates, IT professionals and others and develop their skills to offer specialised services in assurance, risk advisory, global taxation, corporate finance, including M&As and knowledge services, Barnes said.
Explaining further he said, the objective is to train and professionals across the Baker Tilly network to offer customised services to each member country professionals according to the auditing and accounting standards of each country.
