Ban on liquor sale in Assam due to poll

Assam government has issued orders prohibiting sale of liquor for three select days in areas falling under 74 municipal boards and town committees across the state due to the their elections on February 9.
The Excise Department has declared February 8, 9 and 12 (previous day of poll, day of poll and day of counting respectively) as Dry Days, an official release said.
