Bangarppa's wife passes away

Shakuntala Bangarappa, wife of former Karnataka Chief Minister S Bangarappa, died at a private hospital here after battling cancer, family sources said.
Seventy year-old Shakuntala Bangarappa is survived by two sons and three daughters.
She was recently seen campaigning for her daughter Geetha Shivarajkumar who was JD-S candidate from Shimoga, pitted against former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
Shakuntala Bangarappa's younger son Madhu Bangarappa is JD-S MLA from Soraba and her elder son Kumar Bangarappa is the prominent face of Congress party in Shimoga.
Her last rites will be performed at Soraba tomorrow, according to family sources.
