The delegation comprised representatives of Bangladesh's two border districts of Sylhet and Moulvibazar along with representatives of Cabinet division, Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs and department of Narcotics Control, official sources said.
The delegation was received at the Indo-Bangladesh border at Sutarkandi border gate by Karimganj Deputy Commissioner Sanjiv Gohain Boruah.
They also visited the site of Malegarh Sepoy Mutiny, the Sutarkandi Trade Centre and the open international border area between the two countries before leaving for Silchar in neighbouring Cachar district where the meeting was scheduled to begin from tomorrow.
The delegation comprised among others the Deputy Commissioners of Sylhet and Moulvibazar, Md Shahidul Islam and Md Kamrul Hassan, respectively, the Commanding Officers of Bangladesh Border Guards (BGB) of 41 and 46 Battalions, Shah Alam Chouwdhury and Lt Col Nasiruddin Ahmed and Superintendents of police of Sylhet and Moulvibazar, Noor E Alam Mina and Tofail Ahmed respectively.
