The woman was later arrested by police from a village in northwestern Thakurgaon district.
The man identified as 28-year-old Khaedmul Islam, a trader of agriculture products by profession, sustained severe burns in the acid attack yesterday and was recuperating to his injuries at a hospital, bdnews24.Com reported.
"Khadem stalked me for a long time and proposed sex despite my unwillingness. He wouldn't stop despite my pleadings," the arrested woman said.
She said she couldn't afford to remain silent when his act began to cause problems within her family.
Several neighbours, after hearing the man's screams, came to his rescue and took him to a local hospital, said the police to the bdnews24.Com.
"The acid has burned most of his body, including his male organs."
Police arrested the woman after she confessed to have committed the act.
