Banibrata Basu promoted to the rank of DG, Intelligence Branch

In a reshuffle at IPS level in West Bengal, Additional Director General, Intelligence Branch, Banibrata Basu has been promoted to the rank of Director General, Intelligence Branch, state secretariat sources said today.
Seven other senior officials have also been transferred this week.
Among them, Deputy Commandant, SSF Battalion Barrackpore, Anjali Singh has been transferred as Addl SP Kalimpong replacing K Kannan, who will take over as Addl SP Lalbagh, Murshidabad district.
Addl SP, Burdwan Rural, Tarun Haldar has been transferred as Addl SP Headquarters, Burdwan, replacing Ananda Roy, who will take over as Addl SP Headquarters, Birbhum.
Addl SP Headquarters, Birbhum, Prasanta Kumar Choudhuri has been asked to take over as Addl SP, Burdwan Rural.

Assistant SP, Jhargram Police District, Ajeet Singh Yadav has been transferred as SDPO Kharagpur.
Assistant CP(I) Belghoria Division, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate, Zafar Aimal Kidwai has been asked to take over as Assistant CP, Assansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate.
The Shibpore police station under the Howrah Police Commissionerate has been trifurcated with the creation of two new police stations like Chatterjeehat PS and Botanical Garden police station.
