Bank manager stabbed

An attender working with a bank allegedly stabbed manager of the bank near Peddapalli town in the district today.
Deputy superintendent of police N Malla Reddy said Ramanujaacharyulu, manager of Deccan Grameena Bank branch at Centenary Colony in Kamanpur mandal, was returning to Peddapally in his car, being driven by Srikanth, bank attender, this evening.
Srikanth allegedly stopped the car on the outskirts of Peddapalli and stabbed him with a knife before running away from the spot.
Passers-by took him to a hospital in Peddapalli, from where he was shifted to a hospital in Karimnagar town. His condition was stable.
Srikanth is absconding and police have lodged a case of attempt to murder against him.
