Banned fire crackers seized

A large consignment of banned fire carckers were seized and three persons were arrested from the central part of the city for trying to transport them, police said today.
The three were arrested late last night after police stopped their vehicle on C R Avenue and seized 1190 kg of banned crackers, a senior officer of Kolkata Police said.
The crackers were loaded in 18 cartons and comprised of the banned chocolate bombs, he added.
