Bansal-Khanna patch up, duo to attend BCCI WC meeting
Press Trust of India New Delhi The warring senior officials Sneh Bansal and CK Khanna had patched up their differences at an Executive Committee (EC) of the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) as both will now be a part of the BCCI's emergent Working Committee Meeting in Chennai on February 8.
DDCA president Bansal, will attend the BCCI WC meeting in capacity of being a vice-president, who are permanent invitees of the all-powerful panel.
As a part of the patch-up, Bansal at the DDCA's EC meeting yesterday, proposed Khanna's name as a representative of DDCA, which is a member of WC due to its status of being a permanent Test centre.
A few days back, Khanna along with another DDCA vice-president Chetan Chauhan and treasurer Ravinder Manchanda had taken away all the executive powers from Bansal after allegedly investing Rs 1.5 crore of association in private companies. In fact, Chauhan faction suspended Bansal, who along with DDCA Sports secretary Sunil Dev also filed legal petitions.
As of now, Khanna and Bansal have decided to bury the hatchet while Chauhan faction is left cornered.
In another decision, media co-ordinator Ravi Jain has been reinstated in his position.
