"Children of slums don't get opportunity and encouragement. I wanted to encourage children of slums. 'Slum Stars-2' would be done in Kolkata, and 'Slum Stars-3' would be done in Hyderabad. The sequels would be made simultaneously and released next year," Bappi said here on the sidelines of an event.
"Mother Teresa once told me (that) you should do something for poor children in every part of India. They have got talent but they have got no support. I have composed songs for 645 films. My ambition is different now. I am doing second part (of 'Slum Stars') in Bengal and third part in Hyderabad. I would take good singers (for the upcoming films), who have not got any chance," he said.
"'Slum Stars' has won five awards. The film has gone for submission in Grammy. Nomination or winning award is nothing. But (what) I have done for the slum boys, this is the important thing," the Disco King said.
Bappi, who has also composed songs for Tollywood (Telugu film industry), is coming up with a new Telegu album.
"I have done so many films. I was thinking of doing a dance album in Telugu with pop and ramp for young generation and they can enjoy Bappi Da's dance music. It would be released in March-April, 2016 and would have 7-8 songs. I would take singers from the Telugu film industry.
