Bar condemnds amendments to rules in Advocates act

: Kumbakonam Bar Association today condemned the recent amendments to existing rules under the Advocates Act, urged that these be withdrawn and resolved to take part in the proposed protest rally at Chennai on June 6.
An extraordinary general body meeting held today at Bar association Kumbakonam resolved to condemn the amendment brought in Advocates Act and urged to withdraw it.
Nearly 450 advocates did not participate in the court proceedings today.
