Barley, bajra inch up on increased offtake
Press Trust of India New Delhi In restricted activity, barley and bajra prices moved up by up to Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said pick up in demand from consuming industries against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in barley and bajra prices.
In the national capital, barley and bajra went up by Rs 10 and Rs 5 to Rs 1,370-1,380 and Rs 1,575-1,580 per quintal, respectively.
