Marketmen attributed the fall in barley prices to profit booking by traders on higher levels.
Besides, a weak trend at the domestic spot market also weighed, they added.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, barley for delivery in May contract slipped by Rs 11 or 0.70 per cent to Rs 1,552.50 per quintal depicting an open interest of 10,260 lots.
Also, delivery in April was trading Rs 7 or 0.46 per cent at Rs 1,526.50 per quintal and open interest stood of 4,440 lots.
