Marketmen said regular supply from growing regions against slackness in demand at higher levels in physical markets, mainly putting weight here on future prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, barley prices for April contract fell by Rs 33, or 2.54 per cent to Rs 1,266.50 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,380 lots.
Far June contract dropped by Rs 32.50, or 2.43 per cent to Rs 1,304 per quintal in an open interest of 1,560 lots.
