At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, barley for delivery in April eased by Rs 32.50, or 2.27 per cent to Rs 1,398.50 per quintal, with an open interest of 4,760 lots.
Also, most-active May delivery declined by Rs 23.50, or 1.63 per cent to Rs 1,418 per quintal, having an open interest of 5,310 lots.
Marketmen said trimming of positions by participants amid weak trend at the spot markets, mainly led to the fall in barley prices at futures trade.
