Left-arm spinner Bhargav Bhatt bagged six wickets after a solid performance by the batsmen as Baroda outplayed Andhra Pradesh by 89 runs in their second Group C Vijay Hazare cricket match here today.
Put into bat at the Palam ground, Baroda rode on a 159-run opening stand between Kedar Devdhar (81) and Aditya Waghmode (76) to post 291 for six in 50 overs.
Even though skiper Ambati Rayudu faltered for 1, Deepak Hooda (53) and Yusuf Pathan (46 not out) rallied hard to make it count for the side which had lost their first game against Delhi.
Yusuf's 36-ball knock provided the much-needed entertainment in the slog overs as the hard-hitter smashed 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Chasing a stiff target, the Prasanth Kumar-led side faltered from the start to be bundled out for 202 in 43.1 overs.
Contributions from Jyotisaikrishna (59), opener Srikar Bharat (45) and AG Pradeep (41) was not enough as Bhatt ran through the Andhra batting order with his impressive figures of 6-37.
