Base metals continue to decline on lack of demand

Most of the base metals, including tin, nickel, zinc, copper and brass, continued to decline at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to heavy selling pressure by stockists amidst lack of demand from industrial users.
Lower global cues also affected the market sentiment.
Tin prices declined by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 1,300 from Wenesday's close of Rs 1,315 and nickel slipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 675 as compared to Rs 680 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap and zinc moved down by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 377, Rs 370, Rs 341, Rs 405, Rs 275 and Rs 165 as against Rs 381, Rs 374, Rs 345, Rs 409, Rs 279 and Rs 169, respectively.
Copper armiture and copper sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 364 and Rs 358 as compared to Rs 367 and Rs 361 previously.
Brass sheet cuttings softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 286.
