Base metals decline on global cues

Industrial metals fell at the LME in the early trade on disppointing stumulus measures by the US Fed resulting renewed concerns Euro-zone debt crisis.

Nickel dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,095 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,100.

Copper sheet cutting and zinc both went down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 461 and Rs 130 from Rs 464 and Rs 133.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting, aluminium ingots, and aluminium utensils all eased by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 483, Rs 511, Rs 316, Rs 324, Rs 138 and Rs 112 respectively.

Copper armiture, copper utensils scrap and lead also softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 467, Rs 444 and Rs 121.
