Base metals drop on reduced demand, global cues

Most of the base metals dropped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on selling by stockists amid reduced demand from industrial users on the back of bearish global cues.
In overseas markets, the industrial metal copper see-saw towards three-month lows in early trade as jitters over a delayed Greek debt deal combined with a looming summer slowdown to crimp demand prospects for the metal.
Tin and brass sheet cutting plunged by Rs 15 per kg each to Rs 1,195 and Rs 310 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,210 and Rs 325.
Nickel fell by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 985 from Rs 995.
Copper utensils scrap dipped by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 398 from Rs 405.
Brass utensils scrap tumbled by 5 per kg to Rs 302 from Rs 307.

Copper sheet cutting declined by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 420 as against Rs 424 previously.
Copper armiture eased by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 427 from Rs 430.
Lead moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 131 from Rs 133 and copper scrap heavy softened by a Re per kg to Rs 440.
