Base metals ease on global cues

Industrial metals edged down at the LME after two sessions of gains, with prices underpinned by hopes the euro zone would adopt fresh measures to shore up its faltering economy.

Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,055 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,060.

Aluminium utensils scrap slipped by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 113 from Rs 116.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and brass sheet cutting softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 479, Rs 470, Rs 466, Rs 507, Rs 459 and Rs 325, respectively.

However, copper utensils scrap and brass utensil scrap inched up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 439 and Rs 315.
