Base metals end mixed, global cues

Tin and copper armiture prices recovered, while zinc, brass sheet cutting gained at the non-ferrous metals market here today due to stockists buying amid good demand from industrial users on the back of mixed global cues.
Meanwhile, Nickel, select copper and brass utensils scrap declined on subdued demand from consumer industries.
Globally, the base metals were mixed and were mostly little changed in early LME trade.
Tin rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,145 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,140 and zinc moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 141 as against 138 yesterday.
Copper scrap heavy and brass sheet cutting inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 374 abd Rs 281.
Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 715 from overnight level of Rs 720 and copper utensils scrap edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 348 from Rs 350.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap softened by a Re per kg to Rs 379, Rs 407 and Rs 274 respectively.
