Base metals fall on subdued industrial demand

Base metals prices fell at the non-ferrous metal market here today on heavy stockists selling amidst lower demand from industrial users, despite higher London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.
The industrial metals rose at LME, recouping last session's losses on signs of strength in the Chinese economy and hopes that a US military strike against Syria will be averted.
Nickel dipped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,025 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,035 and Copper scrap heavy dropped by Rs 9 per kg to Rs 503 from Rs 512.
Tin declined by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,585 from Rs 1,590.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap moved down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 517, Rs 545 and Rs 343 from Rs 520, Rs 548 and Rs 346 respectively.
Copper sheet cutting and zinc went down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 480 and Rs 165 from Rs 482 and Rs 167.
Copper armature, copper utensil scrap, brass sheet cutting and aluminium utensils all softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 488, Rs 462, Rs 353 and Rs 123.
