Base metals falls on global cues

The industrial metals slipped on continued worries over global economy amid investors cautiousness over the Chinese economic data this weekend.

Nickel and tin dropped by Rs 10 per kg each to Rs 1,070 and Rs 1,290 from Thursday's close of Rs 1,080 and Rs 1,300.

Aluminium utensils scrap eased by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 114 from Rs 117.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheet cutting moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 488, Rs 516 and Rs 466 from Rs 490, Rs 518 and Rs 468, respectively.

Zinc also softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 138.

However, Brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 325 from Rs 323 yesterday.

Copper scrap heavy and lead also inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 481 and Rs 124.
