Base metals gain on industrial demand

Most of the base metals gained modestly at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockist buying amidst good demand from industrial users.
Nickel declined on subdued demand from alloy industries.
The industrial metals was trading stable at the LME as investors waited for factory and growth figures from China, the world's largest user of industrial metals.
Copper cables scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and aluminium utensils moved-up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 514, Rs 542, Rs 487 and Rs 127 from Rs 512, Rs 540, Rs 485 and Rs 125, respectively.
Copper armature, copper utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and aluminium ingots inched-up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 492, Rs 468, Rs 364 and Rs 149.

However, nickel dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,000 from Rs 1,005. Brass utensils scrap and and tin softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 355 and Rs 1,537.
