Base metals gain on industrial demand, global cues

Base metals' prices gained at the non-ferrous metal market here today on steady stockists buying due to rising demand from industrial users on the back of global cues.
Globally, copper changed a little on early trade, as hopes grew that Greece could reach a deal with creditors and as China's stockmarkets stabilised after the week's tumultuous rout. Three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange traded flat at USD 5,626 a tonne by 0043 GMT.
Nickel rallied by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 910 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 900.
Copper scrap heavy advanced by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 424 as compared to Rs 421 previously and brass utensils scrap also firmed up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 297.

Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar, copper sheets cuttings, brass sheet cuttings and lead also edged up by Re per kg to Rs 430, Rs 415, Rs 450, Rs 408, Rs 310 and Rs 128, respectively.
However, tin prices declined by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,115 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,125.
