Base metals gain on sustained demand

Most of the base metals, including Nickel, Lead, Zinc, Brass utensils scrap and copper prices gained at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid sustained demand from industrial users.
Nickel shot-up by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 790 from Monday's closing level of Rs 775.
Zinc rose by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 185 from Rs 182.
Lead, Copper utensils scrap, and copper scrap heavy moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 135, Rs 338 and Rs 369 as against Rs 133, Rs 336 and Rs 367, respectively.
Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and brass utensils scrap inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 374, Rs 359, Rs 402, Rs 354 and Rs 269.
