Base metals gains on industrial demand

The industrial metal traded almost flat at the LME on cautiousness ahead of renewed worries over US fiscal cliff following Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke's comments.

Tin shot-up by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,340 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,335.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and aluminium utensils rose by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 484, Rs 512 and Rs 115 from Rs 481, Rs 509 and Rs 112.

Copper armiture and copper sheet cutting moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 465 and Rs 460 from Rs 463 and Rs 458.

Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting, zinc and lead all inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 474, Rs 439, Rs 315, Rs 326, Rs 138 and Rs 125 respectively.
