Base metals rebound on global cues

Base metals rebounded up to Rs 5 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today on stockists buying in tandem with a firm global trend.
Traders said sentiment turned better after nickel traded near the highest level in almost 11 in global markets weeks as investors assessed record stockpiles against concern that supplies will tighten as Indonesia bans ore exports.
Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months was little changed at USD 14,530 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel (4x4) and copper mixed scrap recovered by Rs 2 and Rs 5 to Rs 1,084-1,085 and Rs 437 per kg, respectively.
Zinc ingot, lead ingot and lead imported also traded higher by Rs 2 each to Rs 113-119, Rs 138 and Rs 136 per kg, respectively.
The following are today's metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 113-119, nickel plate (4x4) 1,084-1,085 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 437,chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 138,lead imported 136, aluminium ingots 150, Aluminium sheet cutting 151, aluminium wire scrap 153 and aluminium utensils scrap 150.
